Éric Chalifoux

Éric Chalifoux is an archaeologist. He has participated in many archaeological research projects in the different regions of Quebec (Nord-du-Québec, Côte-Nord, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie, etc). In the field, he has contributed to the direction and training of members of the indigenous Cree and Innu communities in archaeological practices.

He has acted as a consultant archaeologist in the development of several virtual exhibitions on the Internet:

› Echoes from the past

› Nunavik: a land, its people

› The St. Lawrence Iroquoians (new version currently in preparation)

He has also collaborated in Lumières sous la ville. Quand l’archéologie raconte Montréal (Montréal: Société Recherches amérindiennes au Québec, 2016)

Since 2005, Éric Chalifoux has been the editor of the journal Recherches amérindiennes au Québec.
