Peter Keating

Peter Keating was a professor in the History Department of the Université du Québec à Montréal where he taught the history of science, medecine and the environment. Although he retired in 2013, he continues to conduct research on the history and sociology of modern biomedicine.

Along with his co-author, Alberto Cambrosio, he won the 2005 Ludwik Fleck Prize for the for Biomedical Platforms: Realigning the Normal and the Pathological in Late-twentieth-century Medicine (MIT Press, 2003). He was a finalist for the 1991 Governor General’s award for translation.
